RetireRebel Terms of Service
These services are provided by FlowGrowth LLC, doing business as RetireRebel (“RetireRebel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using our website and application.
1. Acceptance and Eligibility
By accessing or using RetireRebel, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States to use this service.
2. What RetireRebel Is
RetireRebel is an educational tool designed to help users model retirement roadmaps, evaluate financial tradeoffs, and explore self-directed choices.
3. NOT INDIVIDUALIZED ADVICE (IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER)
RetireRebel is an educational and informational tool, not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, tax professional, or legal counsel. We do not act as a fiduciary.
All outputs, projections, and AI interactions are hypothetical roadmaps for educational purposes. RetireRebel does not provide individualized investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making major financial decisions.
4. Estimates, Not Guarantees
- Projections: Financial outputs, tax figures, Social Security models, and Monte Carlo probabilities are estimates based on user inputs and mathematical assumptions.
- No Warranties: Tax laws change, markets fluctuate, and actual outcomes will vary. RetireRebel makes no guarantees regarding the performance or accuracy of any projection.
5. User Accounts & Security
You are responsible for providing accurate information and maintaining access to the email account used for magic-link sign-in. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account activity.
6. Billing, Subscriptions, Cancellation, and Refunds
- Pricing & Auto-Renewal: Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the applicable subscription term through Stripe. Your subscription automatically renews for another term unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Price Changes: We will provide at least 30 days’ advance notice via email or in-app announcement before any price adjustments take effect for active subscriptions.
- Cancellation & Refunds: You may cancel your paid subscription at any time from account settings. Cancellation stops your subscription from renewing at the end of your current paid term. You will continue to have access to your paid RetireRebel features through the end of that term and may continue using RetireRebel and updating your roadmaps, scenarios, plans, and other saved information during that time. Payments are non-refundable, including for any unused portion of a paid term, except where required by applicable law.
7. Acceptable Use
RetireRebel is provided solely for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or extract platform data or outputs.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the software or UI.
- Resell, white-label, or redistribute the tool or its calculations.
8. Intellectual Property
- Our Rights: RetireRebel owns all rights, title, and interest in the application, design, code, logos, and features.
- Your Content: You retain ownership of all inputs and documents you upload. You grant RetireRebel a limited, non-exclusive license to process your inputs solely to run the platform for you.
9. AI Features & Limitations
Our document extraction and Ask the Rebel assistant rely on AI processing via Google Vertex AI. AI models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or hallucinated outputs. AI responses are ephemeral, generated in real time, and must be independently verified. You acknowledge that AI outputs are strictly educational and cannot serve as financial advice. RetireRebel is not liable for errors in AI-generated responses.
10. Third-Party Links
The platform may include links to government sites, eldercare directories, or third-party resources. RetireRebel does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for any third-party resources or external services.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
RetireRebel is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RetireRebel and its operators will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the service. Liability is limited strictly to the total amount paid by you to RetireRebel in the preceding 12 months, or $100 USD, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless RetireRebel, its founders, directors, and contractors from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or legal fees resulting from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the service, or violation of third-party rights.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate account access for violations of these Terms.
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents the subscription from renewing, but your account and paid access remain available through the end of your current paid term.
You may also delete your RetireRebel account at any time. Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation and permanently deletes your account and associated saved data. If you delete your account before the end of a paid term, you give up access to the remaining portion of that term and will not receive a refund, except where required by applicable law.
15. Dispute Resolution and Informal First Step
- Informal Resolution: Before filing any formal legal claim, you agree to contact us at legal@retirerebel.com to describe the dispute and attempt to resolve it informally in good faith for at least 30 days.
- Governing Law & Venue: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hartford County, Connecticut, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms remain in full force and effect.
17. Entire Agreement & No Waiver
These Terms, alongside the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and RetireRebel regarding the service. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right.
18. Survival
Upon termination of your account or these Terms, Sections 3 (Not Individualized Advice), 4 (Estimates), 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (AI Limitations), 11 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), and 15–18 (Disputes and General Legal Terms) shall survive.
19. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of RetireRebel after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
